Description

The primary aim of this book is to present a systematic and step-by. step approach to the physical and mechanical properties of concrete, reinforcing steel and reinforced concrete and to the basic erection proce dures adopted for reinforced concrete structures.

The theoretical basis and design principles for reinforced concrete structures have been brought in line with new standards which were put in force in the Soviet Union since January, 1977. The material is presen-ted with emphasis on Soviet practice in highly industrialized precast reinforced concrete, type-design structural elements, and high-strength materials.
