Description

The world has begun to realize that the welfare of human beings is directly based on natural resources, and unless these are pre-served and used on a sustained yield basis the earth and consequently all of us will get poorer and poorer with the passage of time.

The 10th General Assembly of the Inter-national Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources held at New Delhi in November, 1969, passed several resolutions emphasising the need for the right type of education in natural history. One of the re-solutions was about SCHOOL EDUCATION IN INDIA. It said:
