Edward Luce is a graduate from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He also completed postgraduate studies in newspaper journalism from City University London. He has worked for the Financial Times since 1995 with a one-year break to work in Washington, DC as the speechwriter to Larry Summers, the final US Treasury Secretary of the Clinton administration. He was the FT's South Asia bureau chief based in New Delhi between 2001 and 2005 and is now based in Washington, DC as the FT's Washington bureau chief.
