He began his career in Bombay as an art teacher. Then joined Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Bombay, as theatre-in-charge. Designed settings and costumes for the performing art groups of the Bhavan and also for some dance-dramas of the Indian National Theatre, Bombay, and other institutions.
