This Reader has been prepared with the intention of providing educated non-malayalam-speaking people with a concise basic text for the study of Malayalam language within a short period. It is one of the learn-ing aids designed for use in the Malayalam Language Course organised by the Institute on behalf of the Government of Kerala as part of the training programme for officers of the All India Services.
