Description
All of us at Footprint hope you will enjoy reading and using this Handbook, one of the first in our new format. It has taken us over two years to develop this new wave of guidebooks with travel-proof paperback covers, colour pages and a more relaxed, user-friendly style for the traveller of the 21st century.
Our story began in the 1920s when our 'flagship' guide the South American Handbook was created. This has been published annually for the last 75 years and is the longest running guidebook in the English language.
In 1989 we set about creating a series modelled on this guide. Our aim was to create the ultimate practical guidebook series for all travellers, comprehensive rather than selective, up-to-date and inspirational.
