The fifth volume of the History of Soviet Drama Theater is devoted to the development of the multinational stage culture of our country from 1941 to 1953. It analyzes the best performances of the war and post-war period. Particular attention is paid to the stage performance of plays such as the polished versions of The Front, Invasion, Russian People, Old Friends, and dramatizations of The Young Guard. Interesting pages are devoted to productions of Russian and Western classics, which were staged prolifically and fruitfully during these years in the Soviet theater.
