Russian Soviet actor and director Aki, Gavriil Vladimirovich (25.111. series. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1934). He began his stage career in 1887 as an actor in Moscow on the stage of the Maly Zad of the Noble Assembly. He worked at the Abramova Theatre. In 1890-92 he studied at the A. F. Fedotov Theatre School. In 1898 he began his directing career; he worked at the People's Entertainment Society (he showed performances at Moscow factories and working-class suburbs), in large acting companies and enterprises (M. M. Borodaia, E. Belyaev, K. N. Nezlobina). In 1905-15 - director of the Theatre of the Literary Arts Society (the so-called Suvorinsky Theatre) in St. Petersburg.
