Description (English)
This comedy play tells the story of 'Popatlal', a photographer who is fed up with his strict and domineering wife. In an attempt to escape his daily frustration and seek excitement, he gets entangled in an outside affair (lafra), which triggers a chain reaction of hilarious misunderstandings and absurd situations. The play revolves around his chaotic efforts to navigate out of these troubles while hiding the truth. Blending lighthearted marriage humor with witty banter, the narrative playfully twists the idea of human flaws to show that while people are prone to making mistakes, those mistakes alone do not define a person.

આ હાસ્ય નાટક 'પોપટલાલ' નામના એક ફોટોગ્રાફરની વાર્તા દર્શાવે છે, જે પોતાની કડક અને રોફ જમાવતી પત્નીથી ભારે કંટાળેલો છે. પત્નીના વર્તનથી મુક્તિ મેળવવા અને જીવનમાં થોડો આનંદ શોધવાના ચક્કરમાં તે બહારના સંબંધો (લફડા) માં ફસાઈ જાય છે. આ કારણે એક પછી એક અનેક ગેરસમજો ઊભી થાય છે અને તે વણઉકેલાયેલી રમુજી મુશ્કેલીઓની જાળમાં ફસાતો જાય છે. સમગ્ર નાટક આ ગડમથલમાંથી બહાર નીકળવાના તેના મજેદાર પ્રયાસો અને હાસ્યરસથી ભરેલા પ્રસંગો પર આધારિત છે. આ નાટક રમુજ સાથે એવો સંદેશ પણ આપે છે કે માણસ ભૂલોથી ભરેલો હોઈ શકે છે, પરંતુ ભૂલો જ માણસનું આખું ચરિત્ર નથી હોતી.
