Description (English)

The play begins with a game of Chopat being played between an Ahir and Darbar Arasivala. During the game, the Ahir places a condition that if Arasivala loses, he must teach him the art of using a spear. While they are engaged in conversation, Arasivala hears the devotional singing of a beautiful woman. Deeply attracted by her beauty and charm, he decides that he wants to marry her.

Soon, Arasivala's elder brother arrives and strongly opposes his decision. He argues that a married man should not marry again, especially by forcing his wishes upon someone else. This disagreement gradually turns into a serious quarrel between the two brothers.

In a moment of anger and excitement, Arasivala accidentally strikes his elder brother with a spear. The wound proves fatal, and his brother dies. Following this tragic incident, the elder brother's wife and young prince flee from the place in fear and grief.

The shocking event completely changes Arasivala's life. Realizing that he has caused the death of his own brother, he is overwhelmed with guilt and remorse. He becomes emotionally shattered and deeply regrets his actions. From this point onward, the drama takes a new direction and explores the consequences of his mistake, his suffering, and the events that follow.

નાટકની શરૂઆત આહીર અને દરબાર અરસીવાળાની વચ્ચે રમતી ચોપાટથી થાય છે. આહીર શરત મૂકે છે કે જો અરસિવાળા હાર્યા તો તેમણે આહીરને બરછી ચલાવતા શીખવવાનું. આગળ વધતાં નાટકમાં એક સુંદર સ્ત્રીનું ભજન સંભળાય છે. અને અરસિવાળા નક્કી કરે છે કે તેની જોડે પરણશે. ત્યાં તેમનો મોટો ભાઈ આવ છે. અને તેને રોકવા મોટો ઝગડો કરે છે કેમ કે પરણિત પુરુષે ફરી ના પરણે એ પણ જબરજસ્તી કરીને. પણ જોશમાં ને જોશમાં અરસિવાળાની બરછીથી તેના મોટા ભાઈ મૃત્યુ પામે છે અને તેમના પત્ની અને કુંવર પણ ભાગી નીકળે છે. ખૂબ પશ્ચયાતાપ થતાં અરસિવાળા ભાંગી પડે છે.જ્યાંથી નાટક આગળ વધે છે.
