The one-act play "Vimala" is based on the idea that proper education and guidance can bring about a remarkable transformation in a person's life. The story revolves around two sisters, Vimala and Kamala, whose lives take different paths because of the difference in their upbringing and education.

While one sister lacks proper values and education, the other receives good guidance. Vimala is fortunate to have a virtuous and understanding husband, whose support and encouragement help her improve herself and become a responsible, cultured, and ideal woman.

The play emphasizes that education is the foundation of a happy and progressive family life. It conveys the message that if a woman receives proper education and moral values from the beginning, she can bring prosperity, harmony, and happiness not only to her own life but also to her entire family. Thus, the play successfully upholds the principle that education is the cornerstone of social and family reform.

વિમળા - આ નાટિકામાં જો યોગ્ય કેળવણી મળે તો કેવો બદલાવ આવી શકે તેની પર કથાનક આકાર લે છે.વિમળા અને કમળા નામની બે બહેનોની વચ્ચે કેળવણીના તફાવતથી તેમના સંસારમાં કેટલો તફાવત રહ્યો અને વિમળાને સદગુણી પતિ મળવાથી તે કેવી રીતે સુઘરી તેની વાત રજૂ કરાઈ છે.સંસાર સુધારાનો મૂળપાયો કેળવણી છે.આ સુત્રને અહીં સાર્થક કરાયું છે. જો પાયાની કેળવણી યોગ્ય હોય તો એક સ્ત્રી આખા કુળને તારી દે છે.
