Description (English)

The present Natika (short play) consists of seven acts. Its first edition was published in Samvat 1945 and was registered under Act XXV of 1867.

The plot of the play revolves around a king who is surrounded by wicked and deceitful people, far more dangerous than snakes nurtured with milk. These evil individuals occupy influential positions around him and misuse their power for selfish purposes.

The play vividly portrays the miserable condition of both the king and his subjects when corrupt and dishonest people dominate the administration. Their conspiracies, greed, and manipulation lead to suffering, injustice, and disorder in the kingdom.

Through this narrative, the playwright highlights the dangers of bad advisors and corrupt officials. The drama conveys the message that when rulers are influenced by evil-minded people, both the government and the common people have to face severe consequences. It serves as a powerful social and political commentary on leadership, governance, and the importance of wise and honest counsel.

પ્રસ્તુત નાટિકા સ્પતાંકી છે.સંવત 1945માં પ્રથમ આવૃતિ બહાર પાઙવામાં આવી.સને 1867ના એક્ટ-25 પ્રમાણે રજીસ્ટર કરાવાયું છે.નાટિકાનું કથાનક એક એવા રાજાની આસપાસ આકાર લે છે કે જેની આજુબાજુ દૂધ પાઈને ઊછેરેલા સાપોથી પણ બદ્તર ખલજનો આસન જમાવીને બેઠા છે. તે રાજા અને પ્રજાની કેવી માઠી દશા થાય તેનો ચિતાર અહીં દર્શાવાયો છે.
