Ahmedabad Ring Road

To overcome traffic congestion on Ahmedabad arterial roads, and to cater to the population of AUDA conglomerates, development of Ring Road around Ahmedabad was mooted during the Revised Development Plan of AUDA up to year 2011.

This will be an arterial road, facilitating the movement of traffic within the AUDA area by providing easy access in and from the city outskirts. It will also facilitate the movement of through traffic going North and South to the city, thereby reducing the congestion on Western Bypass (Gandhinagar Sarkhej Highway) and Eastern Bypass (Naroda - Narol Highway).
