Hasmukh Baradi was a renowned Gujarati playwright, theatre director, theatre thinker, researcher, and educator. He made a significant contribution to modern Gujarati theatre through his experimental approach, innovative writing, and socially relevant themes.

His plays explore human relationships, social issues, political realities, changing values, and the complexities of contemporary life. Along with playwriting and direction, he worked extensively in theatre education, research, documentation, and training.

Baradi played an important role in developing experimental theatre in Gujarat. Through institutions and initiatives such as Theatre Media Centre (TMC) and Budreti Trust, he contributed to preserving and promoting the history, literature, and practice of Gujarati theatre.

His notable works include “Eklun Aakash” and several other plays that reflect his distinctive theatrical vision. His contribution continues to inspire Gujarati theatre practitioners, students, researchers, and audiences.

હસમુખ બારાડી ગુજરાતી રંગભૂમિના જાણીતા નાટ્યકાર, દિગ્દર્શક, રંગચિંતક અને સંશોધક હતા. તેમણે ગુજરાતી નાટ્યસાહિત્યને આધુનિક વિચારસરણી, પ્રયોગશીલ અભિગમ અને સામાજિક સંવેદનાથી સમૃદ્ધ બનાવ્યું. તેમના નાટકોમાં માનવીય સંબંધો, સામાજિક પ્રશ્નો, રાજકીય પરિસ્થિતિ અને બદલાતા સમયનું પ્રતિબિંબ જોવા મળે છે.

તેઓ ગુજરાતી રંગભૂમિમાં પ્રયોગાત્મક નાટ્યપ્રવાહના મહત્વપૂર્ણ સર્જક રહ્યા. નાટ્યલેખન ઉપરાંત તેમણે રંગમંચના શિક્ષણ, સંશોધન, દસ્તાવેજીકરણ અને તાલીમ ક્ષેત્રે પણ નોંધપાત્ર કાર્ય કર્યું.
