"મને એક પથ્થર જોઈએ" એ માનવ સંવેદનાઓ, પશ્ચાતાપ અને સમાજમાં વ્યાપ્ત દંભ પર આધારિત એક ખૂબ જ ઊંડી અને પ્રભાવશાળી નાટ્યાત્મક વાર્તા છે. આ કથામાં મુખ્ય પાત્ર પોતાના અંતરાત્મા અને સમાજના વિચારો વચ્ચે મંથન અનુભવે છે. તે એક એવા પથ્થરની શોધ કરે છે જે તેના મનની શાંતિ અથવા પાપોનું મિથ્યા ન્યાય કરી શકે. કથાના માધ્યમથી દર્શાવવામાં આવ્યું છે કે કેવી રીતે સમાજના લોકો અન્ય ભૂલો કે પાપો પર આંગળી ઉઠાવવા સરળતાથી 'પથ્થર મારવા' તૈયાર થઈ જાય છે, પરંતુ જ્યારે પોતાના અંતરાત્મામાં ડોકિયું કરવાનો વારો આવે છે ત્યારે કોઈ નિષ્પાપ હોતું નથી. આ રચના આપણને સ્વ-નિરીક્ષણ અને બીજા પ્રત્યે કરુણા રાખવાનો સંદેશ આપે છે.
