Description (English)

In this play, the playwright beautifully portrays the blossoming love between two young hearts belonging to the Ahir community on the rugged land of Sorath, on the banks of the Shetrunji River. The young couple has already pledged to spend their lives together, but their love is challenged by social customs, traditions, and societal restrictions.

પ્રસ્તુત નાટકમાં લેખકે સોરઠની ધીંગી ધરતીમાં શેતલને કાંઠે આહીર સમાજના બે જુવાન હૈયા વચ્ચે સ્ફુરતા પ્રેમને શબ્દદેહે બાંધે છે , સાથે રહેવાના કોલ આપી ચૂકેલા આ યુગલને સામાજીક વિઙંબણાઓ નઙે છે કથાનકમાં શેતલનદીનું જે વર્ણન કરાયુ છે તે સોરઠના ભપકાને છાજે એવું છે.
