નટુભાઈ પટેલ લિખિત 'ધનીયા મકનીયા અને માલીવા' નાટક ગામના છેવાડે ઝૂંપડામાં રહેતા ત્રણ ગરીબ પાડોશીઓ—ધનીયો, મકનીયો અને માલીયાની કથા છે. આ નાટક ગરીબી, દૈનિક ઘરકંકાસ, બાળકો સાથે થતો નાત-જાતનો ભેદભાવ, ૬-૮ વર્ષના બાળકોના બાળલગ્નની કુરિવાજ-પ્રથા અને જમીનદારો દ્વારા થતા શોષણ પર પ્રકાશ પાડે છે
