Description (English)
Parts 33 to 42 of the play "Dhanji Makanji Malaji" depict rural usury, caste prejudice, and reform. Chunilal Sheth uses a holy facade to grab poor villagers' land through high interest, but Dhanji and Makanji use legal pressure to free them from debt. Meanwhile, due to caste bias, Jethabhai breaks his son's engagement with Dhanji's daughter over Dhanji's friendship with Makanji, a Dalit. Heartbroken, Makanji decides to leave the village, but Dhanji stops him. Touched by their genuine bond, Jethabhai and the elders realize their mistake, discard caste prejudice, and happily restore the marriage.

નાટક "ધનજી મકનજી માલજી" ના ભાગ ૩૩ થી ૪૨ માં ગામડાની વ્યાજખોરી, નાત-જાતના ભેદભાવ અને સામાજિક પરિવર્તનની કથા છે. ચુનીલાલ શેઠ ધાર્મિકતાના આડંબર હેઠળ ગરીબોની જમીન ઊંચા વ્યાજે હડપ કરે છે, પરંતુ ધનજી અને મકનજી કાયદાનો ડર બતાવીને ગરીબોને શોષણમુક્ત કરે છે. દરમિયાન, મકનજી દલિત હોવાથી ધનજી સાથેના તેના સંબંધોના કારણે જેઠાભાઈ ધનજીની દીકરીનો વિવાહ તોડી નાખે છે. આ ભેદભાવથી દુઃખી થઈ ગામ છોડતા મકનજીને ધનજી રોકે છે. અંતે, મકનજીની સચ્ચાઈ અને ધનજીની પ્રેમભાવના જોઈ જેઠાભાઈ તથા પંચના સભ્યો પોતાની ભૂલ સમજે છે, નાત-જાતના ભેદભાવ ભૂલીને વિવાહ ફરી નક્કી કરે છે.
